As you have seen and heard on the national news this year, the supply chain in several industries is being impacted. The RFID transponders we use for our gates are one of those industries impacted due to the global shortage of computer chips. Our RFID provider has informed us our next order may not arrive until the first quarter of 2022.
As a result of this delay, the Committee has authorized a second larger RFID order to hopefully minimize future delays in 2022, and the Committee has instructed us to prioritize RFID distribution to you, our residents, first and then to the Yards, TPC and Vicars Landing for their employees/members. During this time, the Committee has asked us to withhold selling RFIDs to vendors and guests to save our inventory on hand for residents. We encourage you to sign up for gate access for your guests and visitors to avoid gate delays, and remind your vendors to use A1A to avoid back up traffic along Solana.
