Recreational Facilities and Amenities

Sawgrass Players Club boasts a variety of recreational facilities, including extensive waterways for boating and fishing, a swimming pool, wading pool, pavilion with picnic tables, park areas for picnicking, a Tot Lot and playground, and an expansive ball field that encompasses different areas for various team sports.

In addition to these master association amenities, Sawgrass Players Club is home to three golf courses within the gates  that offer varying memberships.

Sawgrass Players Club plays host to two world-class golf courses--the Stadium and Valley courses of the Tournament Players Club (TPC). The TPC at Sawgrass Stadium Course, with its famous 17th hole, is the site for THE PLAYERS Championship each spring. In addition, the TPC provides membership options with many amenities, including clubhouses and dining. The Yards (formerly Oak Bridge Club) is also located within Sawgrass Players Club and also offers membership to owners which includes pickleball, tennis courts and clubhouse facilities.

Players Pool

Residents can enjoy the balmy breezes off the nearby Atlantic Ocean while poolside at the Players Pool, located in The Coves. The area includes a children's wading pool, a pavilion, bathroom facilities, lounge chairs and picnic tables in an adjoining park area. Pool opens at approximately 8:00 a.m. and closes at dusk.

Players Park

A large park nestled in the middle of Sawgrass Players Club offers lots of outdoor fun for children and families. It is the site of various festivals and special events during the year, including Springfest, Flicks in the Field and Winterfest. Facilities include a Tot Lot, pavilion for residents, a 1/4 mile sidewalk with fitness stations, softball field, basketball court, soccer field, beach volleyball court, picnic areas, shower tower and rest rooms.

Pavilion and Picnic Tables

Located in Players Park, the pavilion is a perfect place for an outdoor birthday party or to just sit and relax out of the sun while watching your children play. Picnic tables are available under cover and in open air. Resident and guest use is on a 'first-come, first-served' basis, during daylight hours 365 days a year. Sharing of the facility is encouraged.

Tot Lot

At the Tot Lot kids enjoy climbing, sliding, rocking and swinging. It's a great haven for youngsters from toddlers on up. For the youngest residents, facilities include a playset with slide, crawl tube, gator walk, baby swings, and spring toys. Older children enjoy a larger playset with rock wall, monkey bars, swings, slide pole and more. A small pavilion in the Tot Lot is the perfect setting for a picnic.

Recreation Field

Whether you just want to play a game of catch with your kids or watch them play soccer on a Saturday afternoon, the large recreational field is the place to be. A 1/4 mile walking/jogging path with fitness stations circles the field.  The field is divided into different areas for a variety of team sports, including a softball field, soccer field, basketball court and beach volleyball court. Ball fields are available on a first come, first served basis, with a limit of one and a half hours of play time if others are waiting. Sharing of fields and surrounding facilities is encouraged.

Boating and Fishing

Residents and their guests are welcome to canoe/boat and fish in our lakes and waterways during daylight hours. However, no gasoline or diesel powered boats are allowed in the lakes and waterways.

Nature Walks

Sawgrass Players Club is home to a large variety of birds, fish and wildlife, as well as flowers, trees and shrubs. Residents can stroll along the walkways and may cross paths with blue heron, egrets, eagles, guinea hens, raccoons, turtles, sea otters, opossum, foxes, squirrels and other animals, including a variety of snakes and the occasional Florida alligator.

Sawgrass Players Club

Sawgrass Players Club is home to TPC Sawgrass, which offers two championship golf courses that are open to the public. The Stadium Course is the home of THE PLAYERS Championship and is consistently named among the top golf courses worldwide. Its signature 17th hole is one of the most recognized in golf. Dye’s Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass is the sister track to THE PLAYERS Stadium Course. Opened in 1987, Dye’s Valley Course was ranked No. 21 in Golfweek’s 2017-18 rankings of “Best Courses You Can Play” in Florida.

The Mediterranean-Style, 77,000 square foot clubhouse at TPC Sawgrass is a majestic centerpiece, blending elegant, old world charm with modern, upscale amenities. The clubhouse features a variety of dining options, an expansive gallery, beautifully appointed banquet and meeting space and a world-class golf shop.

The Yards

The Yards is your backyard, but better! The former Oak Bridge Club was fully renovated and reopened as The Yards in late 2020, offering golf, tennis and events. Featured in Forbes and Golfweek, The Yards is the area's first and only 12-hole golf course, also offering a championship 9 and 6-hole par-3 configurations, amongst others. The Oak Bridge Tennis Center at The Yards features ten lighted Har-Tru clay courts and boasts a variety of teams, lessons, ladders and social events.
